Position Overview:
We're looking for a strategic marketing leader who knows how to take a product and build everything around it — from positioning and go-to-market strategy to the website copy, ad campaigns, and partnership integrations that make it grow. This role is for someone who can look at a product, understand where it fits in the market, and define from its position to how we grow it. It means owning the full marketing function — thinking strategically and executing practically. You'll work closely with leadership, have clear accountability over results, and a genuine opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Positioning & GTM
- Take a product and define how it should sit in the market: who it's for, why it wins, what it replaces
- Build go-to-market plans from scratch: channel strategy, messaging, sequencing, launch execution
- Lead product launches end-to-end — from market research and competitive analysis to the day it goes live
- Identify new market opportunities and translate them into actionable marketing strategies
Content, copy & web
- Define the messaging and content strategy — what to say, to whom, and where — and brief external copywriters and creatives to bring it to life
- Own the strategic direction for website, landing pages, email, and sales decks — working with outsourced specialists for production and execution
- Collaborate with designers and external vendors to ensure all creative output reflects the brand narrative and positioning
Growth & performance
- Define the paid media strategy across Google, Meta, and other relevant channels — and manage external agencies or freelancers responsible for campaign execution
- Set the strategic direction for SEO, email marketing, and content — briefing and overseeing outsourced specialists to deliver
- Own performance reporting — track what works, cut what doesn’t, and use data to direct the external team toward what scales
Integrations & partnerships
- Identify and develop partnerships, integrations, and co-marketing opportunities that expand reach
- Build relationships with relevant platforms, communities, and channels that can distribute the product
- Manage partner communications, joint campaigns, and integration marketing
Team & operations
- Work closely with product, sales, and leadership to align marketing with business goals
- Build the marketing function as the company scales — processes, tools, reporting
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a marketing role with clear ownership of strategy and execution
- Proven ability to take a product to market — positioning, GTM, launch, and growth
- Strong understanding of copy and messaging — you know what good looks like, can brief external writers effectively, and can edit and shape output until it lands
- Experience overseeing performance campaigns (Google Ads, Meta) — whether managed in-house or through external partners — with a track record of measurable results
- Comfortable building the plan when there isn't one yet
- Experience scaling a product's user base or revenue through marketing
Nice to have:
- Experience in a VC-backed or fast-growth startup environment
- Background in marketplace, SaaS, or consumer products
- Experience with partnership and integration marketing
- History of working across brand, digital, and growth — not just one of the three
- Track record of category creation or launching in a market where the product had to earn its place
Benefits:
- Employment agreement of indefinite duration. Eligible candidate must be able to be legally employed in Canada on full time basis.
- Position salaries are transparent to every team member. Depending on your level of expertise, a salary ranges between 120K - 140K per year.
- You can expect bonuses for dedicated performance and also a Christmas bonus at the end of the year.
- Working from home or office? Flexible hours give you a balance between your work and private life.
- In addition to regular vacation days, regardless of the seniority level, all our employees get a one-week vacation bonus during Xmas period.
- Additional health insurance is fully provided by us.
- 20 days per worked year of paid vacation
How to Apply: If you meet the qualifications and are excited about the opportunity to join our team, show us something you've built — a campaign, a launch, a piece of copy, a GTM plan. Tell us what you did and what happened. No cover letter template needed.
Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. We don’t sponsor visas.
